*still working on it, but it’s going to be a sweet and handy application by Harish Lall to ease the pain when twitter is down.

Just discovered a great Win and OSX compatible twitter client called tweetr. Like most of the tweetin’ apps, it’s powered by Adobe Air , making it super quick and easy to install.
What sets it apart from all the many other apps I have come across are the handy and functional features it comes packed with. It has growl-like notifications, the ability to instantly snap webcam pics and dump out a link, as well as drag and drop file uploads of up to 10mb. My only problem with it was that it lacks the ability to minimise to tray, but luckily there are a few apps out there to do it for you, such as PowerMenu. Looks like I’ll stick to this one for a while and see how it plays out!

I’ve been using twitter for a while now, and haven’t really got sick of it. pownce seemed like it was going to steal its splendor, but with all the new mashups and integrated feed tool, twitter has become one heck of a neat web app. It used to be a bit lame when all you could do is post what you were doing, and grab a lame rss feed, but the new api has pretty much made it a very powerful productivity tool.
