Flickr finally fixed their boring homepage and plugged in some useful content! Now you can collapse and expand the thumb views, as well as see updates from the flickr blog on the homepage. You can even see comment replies without having to reload the silly ‘recent comments’ page.  It’s a heck of a lot cleaner!

Grab it by hitting the link hiding down the bottom left.

I didn’t think this was even worth writing about until I saw that if you leave the fun flickr snow animation loading for long enough, it’ll play some weird and fantastic dorky music track.

Yay for this. Now let’s hope they tidy up the rest of their site and make everything else more functional. I know, they are super slow with the rest of everything else, but it could mean that they’ll do more for the rest of the site. It’s a wonderful service, but it’s missing a lot of little things which could make it even more amazing.

(I’m holding on for nested comments, easier batch to group integration and more acessible menu selection!).
