Not much to say about it except that I liked it a lot. The transition between time from the early mining days to the industrial revolution added a lot of rhythm to the story’s direction, and was just superly twisted and creepy. The orchestral track was spine chilling, and Daniel Day-Lewis and Paul Dano’s on screen conflicting relationship made it ridiculously exciting to watch. I don’t think I could sit through it in the cinema again because I’d feel like I’d lose that weird feeling after seeing it the first time- but I mean it in a good way.
