Redesigned!

I figured while I had some time off before vacationing, I’d better clean some things up! This was a good excuse to pull out the old paintbrush and make some custom water colour textures. I’m moving away from the branding, and heading closer toward promoting my name. Some might miss the friendly welcoming bear and the punch of blue, but I feel that something cleaner will allow for this to be more content centric.

p.s. Thanks to Brian Reavis and Joshua Jenkins for the code help (and Lisa for some other fidgety things) Couldn’t have fixed those annoying cross browser things without them :)

    I like this a lot. Your old design was cool and all… just a little cluttered feeling. This is nice though, good work .

    I really enjoyed your old site, it was such a different take on the average blog site out there. I can learn to live with this one, but I hope you’ll keep playing with it. At the very least I’d like to see your logo a bit bigger, right now it seems so tiny compared to other text on the site.

    @Chris. I will end up tweaking and dusting things for sure.

    I’m heading away from the gallery junkie design things so I can allow my content to have more weight and function as something a little more timeless.

    @Lis Oh definitely some time this millennium.

    I like it! - very nice, more understated than the last design, and still very individual.

    Must you always make me feel that much slower at doing anything!?!?

    It’s an alright tweak to a already great site man. I’m not sure how to take it just yet - I’ll have to visit a couple more times to adjust.

    Guess I’ve just gotta strive harder to be like Pasquale!

    I do miss the old punch of blue, but I’m digging this new site and your reasons behind it.

    I like this as much as the old one. Can I ask which theme you started off with? sandbox? or did you code this from scratch

    @waseen:
    It’s coded from scratch :) I find it easier than sandbox!

    wow how long did that take? I was just reading about css blue print, have you experimented with it?

    @waseem: About a day and a bit (had a bit of help because I had to run to the airport!).

    I’ve tried css frameworks, but I find them to be a bit too large compared to the small scale of my website. They are certainly handy when you have a lot of markup to develop.
