Prom Night

Such a painful movie. Not because it totally sucked (which it mostly did), but because of the screaming teenage girls in the rows behind. I went to Prom Night with my friend Sarah, and all she did was tuck up into a ball at the ‘scary’/’jumpy’ bits. There was nothing scary in it, but idiot teenagers like screaming at it.
Oh and the tagline is the most unoriginal ever:
Prom night: a night to die for
It’s centered around the story of a girl who had a creepy stalking teacher who liked her a bit too much (Like Lisa’s friends!). As a result she grabbed a restraining order. He went insane, and killed her whole family (and she watched her mum take a knife to the neck). A few years later, it’s time for her prom, but coincidently her family’s killer is on the loose- out from the psyche ward.
That’s really all the story is though. It’s filled with terrible clichéd horror devices, and it’s so badly linked together. There would be about 7 or 8 times where the whole looking up at the mirror after looking down thing is used to reveal the killer, or setup a fake scare. The bad guy busts in a door with a fire extinguisher - because it’s so amazingly original. Oh the chick hides in the classic louvered closet, and all her friends get killed. You could see everything coming from a mile away.
That chick should have hardened the fuck up and taken a knife for all her friends and family. Instead she gets out sweet, and everyone has a severed artery or some delicious stab wounds. What a jerk.
Fun to laugh at, but terrible slasher film to digest.

Probably needs more fiber if you can’t digest it.
My friends and I had a good laugh when we saw the trailer, I’m glad the rest of the film knew what we wanted out of it.
I hope it was meant to be funny.
Ha glad you reviewed it because I def. won’t be.
HAHAHAH!
@Boon, hahah gosh it’s nearly not worth seeing on dvd.
