27 Dresses
I saw this 5 days ago, but have been reluctant to talk about how much it wasn’t as good as I was hoping for it to be. Knocked up was a hillarious film, so assuming Katherine Heigl (one of the leads) would carry her quirky character into this movie was an innocent inference? Too bad I was way off. The jokes were terrible and predictable, and the ones which could have been great were ruined by bad acting. For some reason, every woman in this film was unfunny.
27 dresses lead role seemed to be stolen by James Marsden, who probably saved it from scoring a bunch of boos at the end. The dialog was ridiculously constructed, so much so that you could tell exactly what was going to happen before it happened. I guess you could say it was too literal.
There were a few bits that induced chuckles, like the drunk bar singing, and horny cab driver. I bet all the girls who are gullible enough to believe in such a story will love this film, which sucks. This is a classic example of the dumbing down of film language for our dumber and less cultured generations. Eh, I didn’t expect to be a total chick flick, but that’s what it was. Nothing else to really say much about it, and nothing memorable. Avoid this.

Dude you should have expected exactly what you got. Katherine Heigl was funny as fuck in Knocked Up but later expressed that she felt like she was sexually discriminated against during the filming. So it’s really no surprise that she went on to do some stupid ass chick flick (I mean, she is a lead actress on Grey’s Anatomy). I will never willingly see this movie, I liked her in Knocked Up and will leave that in my mind.
