Why twitter is not lame.

I’ve been using twitter for a while now, and haven’t really got sick of it. pownce seemed like it was going to steal its splendor, but with all the new mashups and integrated feed tool, twitter has become one heck of a neat web app. It used to be a bit lame when all you could do is post what you were doing, and grab a lame rss feed, but the new api has pretty much made it a very powerful productivity tool.
What makes it not lame?
- It’s free. No “pro” account BS, and fancy upgrade doodads for cash.
- Will send free status updates to your phone
- Has a neat array of posting tools ( like twitteriffic, twitter fox, twitteroo, etc)
Those 3rd party applications are pretty handy too. Not only can you send messages to huge numbers of friend’s phones for free, but also choose to track specific information like the weather, important dates, birthdays, reminders, keywords etc.
Mobile information is made freely available through the amazing mini mashups that fellow geeks roll out for us to enjoy. Twitter is even a slick office tool which you can use to track meeting notes, and pass them onto people who are absent. Just think of it as a high tech tool to pass dynamic notes to other people. It’s more fun if you activate your mobile, and get friends ‘tweet’ing too. It pretty much can remind you to do anything, without the nagging mother voice present. Heck- ask it to remind you to change your underpants - it will.
It’s kind of hard to understand why it’s so nice unless you give it a go. It’s clean, simple, fresh and fun. I would eat it if it were a food type.

Oh sweeet bonkers! I didn’t know this much about Twitter.
I hate it less now (:
Ehh I guess I can give it a try.
I used to think it was queer. But it toughened the heck up.
that is a cute bird =)
I’m still new to Twitter. I only signed up this week but I like it a lot so far. It’s more fun as you get more followers and find more interesting people to follow.
You love twitter because I love twitter. But I love that. ;D
This post is so lame.
Kidding, really. You’re right - once Twitter is used for something other than telling people that you’ve just tied your shoes (or other totally useless, mundane bullshit), it’s pretty neat. It’s just sad that so many people would rather use it inform the world of each time they blink.
how do i send you a message on there. .. been tryng to ask you what your gmail still is cuz i havent seen you on gtalk
